PLASTIC BAGS - ECOLOGICAL DISASTER

Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+

Every day we throw away catastrophic quantities of used plastic bags. Entire world population consumes about 500 billion bags every year. That means about a million every minute!

Most bags end up in wild garbage dumps somewhere in nature. These are also responsible for the deaths of more than 100 000 sea turtles and other marine animals every year.

On the market you can find bags, made from recycled plastic bottles, and those bags are also biodegradable. Every year more than 1.5 million tons of plastic bottles are gathered and processed.

Bags made from recycled plastic bottles can also be stylish, colourful, durable and very practical. Majority of them folds in the shape of a wallet or small folding umbrellas, thus demanding very little space.

If you would like to contribute to reduced consumption of plastic bags, have one or two always at hand and say NO in the store next time they try to offer you one after your purchase.
